Since we always start our travels in Oneonta, NY, we usually take a more western route south. But Deb’s BFF now lives in Virginia so east to I 95 we went!
We spent one night in the parking lot of Appalachian Brewing company as part of Harvest Host. Businesses across the country let you spend the night in their parking lots in exchange for your business. We have stayed at museums, farms and wineries. We were one of 5 RVs staying there and had a decent beer and nachos for dinner.
