We plan where we want to spend a few days then find an overnight spot along the way. We left RI for Gettysburg but needed a stop along the way. We average about 250 miles a day. We try to stay in free or low cost sites since we are only spending the night. The only one to show up along our way was Cabelas in Hamburg, Pennsylvania. Huge parking lot that allows overnight parking. A huge store to visit and even a horse exercise area!
