Waiting it out

It is April 20 and we are still in California. Our original plan was to leave here on April 1 and head to Zion and Bryce and Best Friends Animal sanctuary in Utah then drive through Colorado. As we realized that early April is still cold and snowy in Utah, we came up with Plan B. Leave here on April 2 then a week in Palm Springs then head East with a few days in Sedona, Santa Fe, and St Louis. Sounded good until the virus came along!  Now we are on Plan C! Plan C has us leaving on April 27 and driving home with no fun stops along the way. Not many RV parks are open to one night stands from California so we are planning on lots of overnights in parking lots with as little contact with people as possible we will be fully stocked with food and water so our only necessary stops are truck stops for diesel.  Hopefully we will only be on the road 7-8 nights then we we’ll  be in Vermont. Our son is going to have camp opened and provisioned so we can park the rig, and head to camp for our 14 day quarantine.
Plans  change so we change with them!  Aguanga is a beautiful spot to be stuck!  We are thinking of heading back here next March to see all the things we couldn’t see this time. Namely the 40 plus wineries in the Temecula Valley that have all been closed Maybe later in April head to Utah and Colorado. We’ll see…plans change!

A taste of Aguanga!  Enjoy!

  1. It’s good to be flexible, especially now! I’d thought I’d mention Boondockers Welcome, in case you have not heard of it. We have found it to be a great resource. Also, we live in St. Charles (near St. Louis – where I grew up), so if you do ever visit here and have questions or want info, let me know. The Grafton area near here has a great winery – Aerie’s Winery. If we can’t travel, at least we can be dreaming of future plans! Stay safe!
